Mediation
What I do as a Mediator
I am a Qualified Neutral, or Mediator, under Minnesota Supreme Court Rule 114. My Mediation certification allows me to work with parties in family law and civil cases. Mediation means that I am a neutral person that attempts to facilitate cooperation and agreement between the two parties. The parties come to me on their own, by referral from their attorneys, or referral from the court. Parties in mediation are attempting to avoid a lengthy court process and find a way to resolve their differences.
Parenting Time Expeditor
I can also serve parties as a parenting time expeditor. I am appointed by the court or by agreement of the parties to make decisions on parenting time disputes. In this role I have authority to make rulings that immediately govern the parties without having to return to court.
Costs
Reaching an agreement in family law and civil cases can be much more emotionally and financially beneficial to the parties. Fees for Mediation and parenting time expeditor work are split between the parties.
Multiple Locations Available
Parties and their attorneys are always welcome to my office at Metro Office Park, which is conveniently located by Twin Cities International Airport and Mall of America. My office is equal distance to downtown Minneapolis and St. Paul, and sets at the borders of Hennepin, Ramsey, and Dakota Counties.
I am also available to travel anywhere in the Twin Cities metropolitan area and out-state Minnesota to conduct mediation and serve as a parenting time expeditor.
Many times being a parenting time expeditor only requires a telephone call between myself and the parties, and distance is no concern.
